I am triple related to the Lewing/Lawing Family so that is my main research. Through Y-DNA tests I have connected the Lewing Family of Louisiana to the Lawing Family of North Carolina. I administered three Y-DNA tests for males who are from Sabine Parish, Louisiana - one to a 92 year old and two in their seventies. All matched two male Lawing's from North Carolina who had also had a Y-DNA test on the familytreedna.com site. The surname for the Lawing family from North Carolina was originally Lewing. I have expanded my family tree to include the Lawing family and I have several DNA matches on both Ancestry and FTDNA which is so exciting! I love DNA!
