*** Please don't expect me to do research to verify the accuracy of your recommended edits. If suggested edits are submitted please take a couple of minutes to include an email with documentation supporting requested edits. If not provided I will probably not approve the edits. Why? ... Because too many people COPY from the fatally flawed family trees published on the Internet.

In every edit that I request I send documentation (with links) so that the creator of the memorial can easily verify that my requested edits are accurate.

PLEASE NOTE: Be very careful when using information from FindAGrave Memorials.

1. Carefully compare photographs of tombstones with information provided. Often, tombstones have been incorrectly transcribed.

2. More importantly, people add all sorts of supplemental data but fail to provide any supporting documentation. If they haven't added it, email them and ask them for the documentation. Including me.

3. FindAGrave is a beneficial website for genealogists. Unfortunately, the information is becoming as fatally flawed as the family trees posted on the Internet ... all because people refuse to document. A family tree with no documentation is nothing but fiction.

Trust, but VERIFY!

One last thing. I've helped people with their family trees and sometimes have created Memorials for people I'm not related to. If you are related to someone who has a Memorial that I created then I am perfectly willing to transfer it to you. Actually, I am willing to consider any transfer request ... related or not.
