Bio

I am a retired newspaper editor in Ridgefield, Conn., and have written extensively about the town's history (see website, RidgefieldHistory.com). In 2022, I published the book, "Here Lyes Ye Body," describing the history, lore and occupants of Ridgefield's many cemeteries.
I have been trying to add as many Ridgefield graves and/or photos as possible, supplementing the fine work of others, particularly Gary Boughton and Karen Kelly plus, at St Mary, Donna Barber. Almost all of the cemeteries in town have been completed.
In 2022, I published a 105-page, illustrated and indexed paperback, "Here Lyes Ye Body: A History of Ridgefield, Connecticut's Cemeteries, the Tales They Tell, and Fascinating People Resting in Them." (For information, email me at the address atop this page.)
I have also worked on the "new" St. Mary Cemetery in Danbury, have completed Bald Hill Cemetery in Wilton and Green Cemetery in Bedford, and have been working on other cemeteries in Groton, Vt., Berryville, Va., and Hilton Head Island, S.C., which I occasionally visit.)
REQUESTS: I am happy to update memorials with more information, especially biographical. Please contribute pictures!
If you are interested in taking over a memorial, tell me about your relationship and why you want to manage the memorial.
