Bio

I am Cherie Lynn Knight Jones. I grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. One of the regular family activities while growing up was going to visit the family graves keeping them clean and planting flowers. I learned how to find the ancestors and the cousins, visiting local county records offices, searching through dusty basements and then using phone books and dropping by the local newspaper to find the relies – dead and living. I worked in an Alabama cemetery for five years and then went on to become a journalist and photographer, living in Asia, the Middle East and finally Canada before returning to the United States. Now I research and enjoy family history. As I have found the ancestors and the cousins through the years, more and more I began to see how all people are related. Whether by blood or marriage in ancestry, whether by places or events in history, or whether by a common haplo-group thousands or tens of thousands of years ago we are all connected in life and in death – and on findagrave.

I have had great pleasure in finding ancestors for my children and theirs, and my husband and immediate family, and all my cousins. The Virtual Cemeteries are for all of yall. You will recognize who is who in the list.

For my children: you see my lines now split into my paternal and my maternal. But you also see Knight that I have made for my Knight Cousins who are not related to Mz Pearl's lines. You will also see your children's additional sides lines. I will also work on splitting the Money ancestors into a paternal and maternal virtual group as well. But you do have a lot here already and as others can be located I will make memorials for them and add them to your virtual groups.

Please to do use or share photos without proper credits of where you got them and who originally shared them. Locating original photos is as important as having a copy.
