I am retired and live in Baltimore, MD. I began a hobby which became a passion to research, visit and photograph Medal of Honor (MOH) Recipient grave sites. I began in 1999 and through 2016 I have visited over 1,900 MOH graves in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, 3 American Cemeteries in France and the American Cemetery in Luxembourg. This is 95% of the known MOH Recipient grave sites. In addition a small group of us have obtained over 650 MOH grave markers for those Recipients whose private grave marker did not mention this most prestigious award. Most of these MOH markers were obtained through the VA and about 100 have been obtained through financing by the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation or local organizations like the American Legion.
