Bio

My name is Peggy B. (Karns) Lewis and I am married to Jackie called Jack Eugene Lewis, who is a Cloe descendant. We started in 1991 after we married in December, 1990, researching for Lewis' as their family knew very little about the family and when in Arkansas and Missouri found that their great grandfather was William Howard Cloe born in Virginia around Amherst County in 1800 and that he had five (5) wives and ten (10) children. We are from the 4th wife, Emily Truelove and she had five children: Elizabeth Jane called "Bettie", who married John Adams Lewis in Benton County, AR in 1870; John A. Taylor Cloe, don't have much information on him; Amos Greenberry married a Bettie Wilson (have information him); William Henry E.married Georgia Ann Claypool(have some information on him)and Mandy Cloe, who either died at birth or around 4 years old, not proved yet. We have some pictures of the first four and their gravesites in Bentonville, AR.
