RE: Eaglenest Cemetery
Thank you. My grandparents lived at Eagle's Nest in the early 50's. Appreciate your contributions to Find A Grave. You and all the others are great help to family researchers.

Oh, NO! What on earth? Maybe the church has some information on what happened? I know they were doing a lot of construction and the like when we were there photographing. Do you think you could send me a map image with the suspected location marked? Next time I'm out that way, I'd like very much to spend some time.

I'm sorry. What a disappointment!

I went to the cemetery today and found Mr. Reath's grave. Go to the back row of graves in front of the pine trees. From the parking lot go about 30 yards down the back row & the grave is several feet past the Robey's graves & directly behind the Darlington's graves. Their headstone has a British flag engraved on it. Mr. Reath's marker is flat with the ground.

It's been almost 7 years since I took the photos in that cemetery. I'm sorry but I do not remember where the grave is located.

I haven't forgotten! We went once, but it was dusk, and we lost the light before we could do a thorough search. Plus, folks were coming out of the church, and eyeing us suspiciously, and we didn't want to seem creepy. Hoping for another chance in the next couple of weeks! Also, Billion Graves does have a picture of the stone, and if you have a membership there, they may have precise GPS information.

Sadly, I do not remember, and I cannot find the backup shots in a file anywhere. Looking at it, my mind says in one of the family plots, but I could be wrong. I'm no longer as local as I was--I was in Manassas, I'm now closer to West Virginia. But the next time I'm in Manassas during daylight hours (should be in the next few weeks), we will stop in and see if I can't find it. I'm upset I can't find the original file, because at least then I could tell you which stones it falls between on my SD card.

Wish I could do better for you!

I do remember! When you drive in bare right and look for large boulder like stone with Cochran chiseled on it on your right. That stone is by his and his wife's graves. I just added his wife's memorial picture as well.

RE: Melrose Abby Memorial Park
I agree with you. I did a little checking and don't find her with Ausbun in this area. I did post a photo of Ausbun's niche. He is buried in the same area as Mary Winston Henry, but he dies before her first husband dies, so I'm sure she is not connected to him. Ausbun seems to move around quite a bit. Chris

RE: Melrose Abby Memorial Park
Hi Carter: You are very welcome. However, Mary's maiden name is unknown. She was first married to a Winston and second to the Henry. So she may still be the correct Mary, she just chose to be buried with her first husband. Who knows her second husband (Henry) may have chosen to be buried with his first wife. Chris
