~♥~♥~ Rest In Sweet Peace, My Blue-Eyed Handsome Man, I'll Love You Forever ~♥~♥~

For almost 2 years, I have not been able to stay up to date with Edit Requests and Transfer Requests via my personal email. I was caring for my recently deceased (Jan. 31, 2017) love of my life, James Richard Hayes, Jr. who had suffered a severe stroke and later was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Lung Cancer. I will be doing my best to "catch up" on all the requests, as I still have all of your emails, but it is going to take some time. Please bear with me. Thank you!

I have been doing family research for a little over 38 years now (began in 1976). I originally started working mainly on my LOCKLIN family. Over the years I have expanded my work on various family lines. Currently I am focusing on the following:

My Paternal Lines:
LOCKLIN, FOKES, McLENNAN, FULCHER, MERCER, ZACHRY, GUTHRIE, BURKE, SMITH, LARGE, PAGE and many others connected to these surnames.

My Maternal Lines:
BENAD, HERRING, WALL, STEELE

My Sons' (Trent & Terry) Paternal Lines:
TAYLOR, GARNER, GRAY, DANCER, RUNNELS, WINKLER, PASEMANN

My Granddaughter's (Kayrinn) Maternal Lines:
HURT, RODGERS, ASHLEY, BIEHLE

My Grandson's (Colby) Maternal Lines:
HILL, LOVE, WEBB, BIEHLE

My Very Significant Other's (JR) Lines:
HAYES, BRANSON, BREWER, PITTMAN

If you are related to any of these lines, please contact me.

I have created a LOCKLIN group page on Facebook titled Descendants of Samuel Locklin (1744-????). If you are a descendant of Samuel Locklin, please contact me on Facebook so I can add you to the group page. Currently, we over 300 descendants in the group. We are sharing photos, stories and other information on the group page. It is a "private" group which is by invitation only and only those in the group can read the posts and information and view the photos added there.
My profile name on Facebook is:

RE: MARTHA ARDELIA SNODGRASS LESLIE
Sarah,

My source of info on the burial of M. A. Snodgrass is personal communication several years ago with a sister-in-law of George Leslie, Martha's son. This woman was the sister of George Leslie's wife and lived with George's family at the time of the burial and remembered it clearly.

RE: PETER M. MERCER
My apologies. I have gone back and looked at the Find a Grave bio and obviously I misinterpreted it. I says that the convention met in Mercer's building and wrote the Declaration and Constitution. I initially read it as saying that Mercer did the writing. Sorry for the mixup.

Frankly, when I misread it I was surprised because you have obviously done much careful research. There is so much genealogical misinformation on Find a Grave and elsewhere that I suppose I have a bad attitude and am expecting more of the same. Again, my apologies to you.

Memorial# 27011195 Eav Elizabeth Jones Liles
Thank you so much for posting so much information in her memorial as well as the memorial itself. I am tracing descendants of my ancestors; Liles is one of my lines so that makes her a distant cousin by marriage. Thanks again.

RE: William Henry Moseley
Sarah.... Sorry for the delay in answering. Been without internet for several months.. Using McDonald WiFi today.

I will research your question and get back to you ASAP.

We visited Locklin Cemetery since the first of 2017. I want to use Dousing Rods to see if I can determine the gender of the babies on "Heartache Row". (13 graves. All unmarked.)I Perhaps you would like to be there when I do it. I have been successful at Boonvile Cemetery. If I have a problem, I know someone who is better than I.

Best regards,
Joe

Crestlawn Cemetery Atlanta
Regarding your request at Crestlawn Cemetery. Please contact them and make up some story of how a relative wants to visit and ask them to email you a map of the section where they are buried and email th map to me and I'll try to find them.

I do not want to have to go in the office and ask for the location because they might not be so forthcoming

Andrew

George N Givens
Sarah, I have reason to believe that George N Givens is the son of Matthew and Mary Jane Givens. 1850 Census for Bell County. Can you link him to Matthew #32155315 and Mary Jane #32155344?

J P Kendrick
Hi,
I saw you added J. P. Kendrick to findagrave. His name was James P. Kendrick. His wife was Sarah C. Barrett. He had a number of children including an Eliza Braswell/Brasel and Sylvanus Kendrick. Do you happen to know if that church has any old church records? Trying to figure out where his wife was buried. She died between 1870 and 1880. The family lived in Spalding/Clayton/Fulton counties. She may be buried elsewhere, but am trying to figure it out and locate descendants.
Thanks!
