|Please understand that it is my quest to find ancestors and be as effective a historian, or custodian of their memory, as possible in an effort to preserve what I can. Please contact me if you have or know of additional details or the ever sought-after photos and documents!|
Information has been carefully researched and transcribed. Needless to say, there is always an incomplete picture; new facts are discovered and additions must be made or a need for corrections arises. For example, information, such as birthdates, that have been calculated from headstone engravings (which is not the most accurate means).
Please do not hesitate to contact me. The goal is again to be as complete and accurate to the history and memory of all. Any assistance is appreciated!
Most of my efforts currently center on the southern portions of Trumbull County and the northern portion of Mahoning County; specifically the North Jackson township area and its many neighbors.
It is important to note that Mahoning County Ohio was formed from parts of Trumbull and Columbiana Counties Ohio on March 1, 1846 so any dates prior to that are actually found in their respective County records.

|SHARON TURNBULL||-ROBERT TURNBULL ?????|
Is there an actual birth record for the birth of Robert William Turnbull dob 1802 Philadelphia, father Robert Turnbull, mother Elizabeth???
My husbands 2nd great grandfather was Roberts son James Turnbull dob 10/06/1821. James stated to the local historian at the time, early 1900 that his father Robert was born in Scotland dob 1799.
Also when Robert married his first wife Siscelia, she was only 17 and had to have her father sign for her to get married. The marriage certificate states that Robert was already 21 in 1820 which would put his birth at 1799 Is there anyone out there that can help me with this problem? because I am at a brick wall here! Thank you to anyone who can help.
|J Robinson||Samuel Leach Corning|
There is an implied spousal relationship on Samuel Leach Corning that I think is incorrect. Samuel had two wives as noted on his page:
Samuel married Amanda Bushnell 19 October 1819 in Trumbull Co., Ohio.
Samuel's second marriage was to Nancy Meeker 3 January 1853 in Trumbull Co., Ohio.
Yet Mary Maria Costello is listed as his implied spouse. If you go to her page, Samuel's name is listed as her husband. Yet the tombstone pictured says that her husband is Thomas J. Costello.
I would appreciate it if you would eliminate Samuel as Mary's spouse.
Thanks a bunch,

You sent "a" request to attach Father to daughter Elizabeth, I did it the same day.
I have no other updates from you, I did what you requested, I do not know what more to say to you-

I posted a photo of the headstone of Blanche Myers Loveless (63933539) located in Hawley Cemetery in Portage County. It is next to her husband.
