I became interested in family history when I discovered that my 4th great grandmother and 4 of her sons moved to Michigan and started a church. My maiden name is Rough and lived almost all of my life in Berrien County, Michigan. I still have plenty of family there and return to Michigan twice a year. Cannot ever let go of my roots!!

Since then I have become a family history consultant with my church. I regularly work on my family history and assist others with theirs. Whenever I visit a cemetery (regardless of the reason) I try to take photos of gravestones to upload to Find A Grave.

I think I got them all. Fianna (Shetterly) Rough is not mine.

RE: Rough Memorials
Hi Sue, I am not related, but live near the cemetery, and just wanted to add the memorials for anyone who may be interested, there were others that were illegible, I'm glad to have been of some help. I love genealogy, I have only lived here for 17 years, and have no roots here. Good luck in your research. Sincerely, Gennie.

Pvt. Hugh P. Young Jr. stone picture
Hi MemphisGirl:

I understand now, since I read a message from another to you regarding the "Unknown" written on the stone. It's so very sad that these men weren't taken better care of even in their passing and burial:(

Thank you MemphisGirl for taking the stone picture of Pvt. Hugh P. Young, Jr. I appreciate your efforts, even if his stone states "Unknown" but at least we know now.

Thank you. Roxanne M. Weathers

Thank you for the photo and the time you took to go out there. It is very appreciated. Are all the graves in that section marked unknown? Or is there a story as to why it's Unknown that you know of?
Best regards,
