Robert James Moon was born on April 10, 1941. He received a Masters Degree (British and German history)from the University
of Alabama in 1965. Robert served in the United States Air Force in the late 1960's. He later taught history at Jacksonville University High School, the University Center in Gadsden, and Dothan Junior College. In the 1970's, Robert moved to Atlanta, Georgia and worked for a design firm. He took a position with the Georgia Department of Administrative Services in 1978. Robert enjoys travel and has visited Southeast Asia, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. He has done genealogical research in the United Kingdom. He has studied and traveled extensively in Eastern Europe, Germany, Switzerland, Scandia, Italy, and France. He enjoys reading, classical music, old movies. Robert's two great loves in this life have been the study of history and family, and his Mother.
