|Charles T. Torgerson, III||Memorial# 30833952|
Another from Ware Shoals Cemetery. I'm starting to wonder if there were transcription errors or if the monument company had quality control problems.
Surname Hang on the memorial; Haug on the marker.
|Charles T. Torgerson, III||Memorial# 30161486|
Ms. Waltman passed away in 2011, after her memorial and existing photo were taken. Her headstone now shows a date of April 28, 2011, if you would like to update her memorial.
|Charles T. Torgerson, III||Memorial 30161407|
I went to Ware Shoals Cemetery yesterday and took some photos. As I am uploading them, I notice that the grave marker is printed Beheler and the memorial name is Bekeler. I'm letting you know in case you would like to update the memorial.
|Labonte18||RE: You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.|
I send duplicates to edit after the required 30 day wait, with a few minor exceptions. If a duplicate is 'fully loaded' with images from multiple users or the duplicate is sponsored, or the duplicate has 'special' or a large number of flowers/comments on it.. Those will often go to edit in order to have them merged to preserve that data. Since you can't move that data (Photos you could move, but not keeping credit to the person who did the work, so.. Let's say you can't move those), it actually winds up being a bad thing to notify, as if you were to delete the memorial, that information would be lost.
Right now, there are 136 duplicates I have on the way to edit (7 days worth of max emails queued up, being sent in batches).. There are another 116 awaiting the 30 day window to go to edit. Fairly certain you wound up with 2 or 3 of those over the last few days? There were probably another 2-5 where you were the person who DID NOT receive notification, because yours was not the duplicate.
The reason for a 'harsh' correction was due to the edit being declined. I would consider it blunt vs harsh, but, I can't control what you think. It was nothing more than a plain and simple explanation of what was going to happen. If you want to imagine that I'm sitting here flipping the screen off while typing.. Well, more power to you. The reason I was insistent on that being changed is so that when it does go to edit(Notification on that dupe was sent out months ago, i'm just now catching up), it takes about 1-2 months for edit to act upon them. I don't want them seeing the different names and rejecting it and waiting ANOTHER 1-2 months.
This is an automated email letting you know that your recent edit for the Connie Stone Craine (1952 - 2009) Find A Grave memorial has been declined.
General reason: This edit will remove accurate data.
Obviously, your data was not accurate. Perhaps a better way to handle things would be similar to what I do if I get edit data that may not seem to make sense. Contact the person submitting the data and ask for clarification as to the reason behind the edit request. Always safest to assume that an edit is coming from a family member who knows more than you.
at some point, I probably should go back over declined edits of mine.. I've found 4 declines from you that probably should be resubmitted in the first two pages. I'll get around to it.
I'm sure there's people out there that you rub the wrong way by editing the memorials and then declining the edits they sent with 'up to date'. That was annoying to me at the start, but.. I figured there were better things to be annoyed at.

Thank you for the transfer of Captain James Henderson. I assure you it is in good hands.
|Samuel Knight||not marked as famous|
You forgot to note that Brandon was famous. We are not aware of any other famous burial in Green Lawn.

|Virginia Crook Haas||Old Bethel Cem, Woodruff SC|
Thank you for posting the picture of my many greats grandfather James Crook's marker. I am wondering how you were able to make it legible after the 200 years or so it has been there. I am new to this kind of search and trying to prove ancestry. He was a Revolutionary soldier.
|Loyce Ellis||RE: James Adair|
Thanks so much for checking and clearing that up for me.
|Loyce Ellis||James Adair|
I was working on my family tree and I have found 2 memorials for James Adair. I think they are the same person. Could you please check them to see if it is the same person. It is James Adair Find A Grave # 25541397 and # 29695549. Thanks for your help. Loyce
