Johnny Beazley
Johnny Beazley did not hurt his arm in an exhibition game. He played baseball for the Army Air Corp team (one of the teams). They were playing another Army Air Corps team. He was played in Memphis at the base there. My grandfather played on that team. My grandfather was playing first base when he heard Beazley's arm snap while he was pitching.

Bill Trader
Sharon, I just came home from a family get together in the Charlotte nC area. My third cousin, Josie L. Smith was there and brought his guitar to entertain. He is 90 this year and knew Bill Trader. He helped compose the music score for the song "A Fool Such as I" Josie was born in the Florence area and had a band called The Southern Playboys, and was originally called The Palmetto Playboys. Just thought you might enjoy this tidbit of info.

Jincey Nickell Correction
Thanks for letting me know the whereabouts of Jincey. Are there any other Nickell family members I have mistakenly placed in the wrong cemetery that you know of?

Almost forgot, his nick name "the bellering bow-legged boy", don't know if you knew that.

Biff Collie

I was a good friend of your Mom and Dad for many years. My mother Bea Terry had known Biff, it seems, forever and he was at our home in LA many times. I even worked for him and Joe Nixon, managing their "Nashville Record Shop" in Long Beach. I found your Dad's obit in mothers things and was trying on Facebook to track you or your sister down. There's really isn't much on the internet about Biff, but he did a lot including his connection with Tommy Sands.

Hi Sharon
Long time no see. The air tragedy in New York made me think of Amanda and I found her memorial site. I'd like to hear what has been going on for the last 25+ years since last I saw you.
Someone told me that your Dad had passed away and I have no news of Don. Can you give me an update?
My e-mail is I lived for about 20 years in Argentina running a ranch and about 2 years teaching languages (German, Spanish and English) in Italy. At the moment I am in Montana, USA. Looking forward, "Uncle" Randy
