A Life Well-Lived Is Worth Remembering!

Location- Formerly Sedona-- Now Santa Fe (the oldest capitol city in the United States)

I am the historian for Jack and Helen Frye. Jack Frye was the co-founder and long-time president of Transcontinental & Western Air (TWA). He and Helen Varner (formerly Mrs. Cornelius Vanderbilt Jr.) owned the Frye Ranch at Sedona (now as the famous Red Rock State Park).

My participation in Find-A-Grave is not to walk hundreds of graveyards jotting down tombstones and adding them to a roster. But rather to secure or add memorials that are of a personal nature, like close friends and immediate family. More than not these memorials are grave sites where I have been leaving flowers for many years and family and friends which are meaningful to me.

I encourage all Find-A-Grave participants to take responsibility for your family members so they can be represented by 'family' not strangers. This way you can enhance and expand their pages by adding family info which will preserve your family's historical imprint for posterity, especially now that Find A Grave is associated with Ancestry.com.

I feel Find-A-Grave is a marvelous database and serves as a valuable tool for people seeking their ancestors and friends or just searching for curiosity sake.

I commend those who have gone far and beyond in the field searching out cemeteries and grave markers, meticulously documenting the information and transcribing it to this database. These efforts have made Find-A-Grave a success for everyone! Thank you!

I am more than willing to transfer any memorial if it is within the guidelines of Find-A-Grave, and I am especially partial in transfer to immediate family. These grave sites are not just names and dates they are real people and valued family members. The plots and markers, in many cases, were paid for by the families.

"Those souls who have passed on are not forgotten but for those who would remember...."
