Bio

I live in the Montreal Que. Canada area and spend quite a bit of time in cemetaries. I have an autistic grandson who's almost 9 years old who is fascinated by them. I took him to my parent's grave with me on Father's Day a few years ago and he fell in love with reading all the stones and saying prayers for the names he read. My husband's infant brother is buried in that same cemetary and has a tiny lamb stone. Aaron saw it and started saying prayers for his little great uncle who only lived 4 days. He's an amazing little boy, and a total joy to be around. If you tell him the year someone was born, he'll tell you their exact age in seconds. He reads all the Obits everyday, in both French and English and makes scapebooks of his favorites. Some say his facination is morbid for a little guy, but if you knew him you would never say that, he honestly seems to care and connect with the stones and people's stories. He's good with human interaction with a few adults, but has trouble with other children, I think this is his way of connecting. We visit a lot of cemetaries together.

I am recording our local cemetary where many family members and friends I know are buried. If you see a family member I have recorded, don't hesitate writing to me and I'll transfer ownership of the page over to you.

I can do photo requests for The National Field of Honor and Lakeview Memorial Gardens, as well as other cemeteries on the West Island of Montreal.(West from Lachine).
