Just an FYI: My dad has terminal cancer. I will try and get any edits done that are sent, but it may take a little while. I am sorry.

****ATTENTION**** To the lady that contacted me about your father (he was a Lane in Holston View), and how I knew him. Will you please contact me again? I am soooo sorry, but your email was deleted by accident. It isn't even in my trash folder. I would love to transfer his memorial to you. br /br /Have been doing genealogy with my mom, Beth Robinette for several years. I love going to cemeteries and photographing the graves. My main lines of interest are Bloomer, Lane, Johnson, Hammonds, Peters, Penley, France, Herron, Roberts, Holmes, Napier and Robinette. Most are located in and around Scott Co. If you have relatives in Scott Co., you are most likely related to me or my husband. Since most of the people of Scott Co., are related somehow. I'm sure it is like that in a lot of places but it is prevalent there. My husband helps me but he does not have a Find A Grave profile. So we just both use this one, though he doesn't want credit (:My mom takes care of the rest (: Most of which are in Carroll and Grayson Co., VAbr /br /EDITS AND OTHER INFO: Please use the edit tab on the memorial. I will respond ASAP. I am not on the computer daily so it may take me a few days to respond, but I will respond. I LOVE getting new information. br /br /MEMORIALS I MANAGE: I try me best to connect everyone. Sometimes this isn't possible due someone else that has a memorial I need to link to and they have not responded. I usually will then try and hyper link them. This is the code: a href="http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=XXXXXXX"Name /aXXXXXXX is where you put memorial number. You will also have to delete the space between and a in the beginning and end of the code. br /br /CEMETERIES I AM WORKING ON:1. Depews Chapel. I photographed the entire cemetery and am adding photos and memorials.2. Lawson Confederate Memorial. I am going through and adding more info.3. Quillin Cemetery. I am adding more info.br /br /NOTE: I try and omit living survivors from obituaries I post, except for my line and those which are several years old. I know it is public record but I don't want to upset anyone. If I have forgotten to omit and you want them removed, let me know. Also I have posted obituaries in the pictures section. I just found out last month (April 2013) that F.A.G. does not want this done. I think I have removed most of them off my memorials, but if I have put one on your memorial please let me know and I will remove it. Most are from the 1920's-1970's.I have no way of knowing which ones I put them on. I wish F.A.G would let us access the pictures we posted. It is in the profile section. I was trying to be helpful. I'm sorry ):br /br /NOTE: I type up the obituaries EXACTLY how they are written, mispellings and all (:br /br /Dear Ancestor Your tombstone stands among the rest; neglected and alone The name and date are chiseled out on polished, marbled stone It reaches out to all who care It is too late to mourn You did not know that I exist You died and I was born. Yet each of us are cells of you in flesh, in blood, in bone. Our blood contracts and beats a pulse entirely not our own. Dear Ancestor, the place you filled one hundred years ago Spreads out among the ones you left who would have loved you so. I wonder if you lived and loved, I wonder if you knew That someday I would find this spot, and come to visit you. Author -Unknown
