I moved the photos over. Thanks for the opportunity to do so. Thanks for all your work for Find a Grave. :0)
|Dallas Allen||RE: James Hinson|
Wow!, This the closest I have been to any possible relative other than that of my immediate family. I didn't think there was anybody out there from the Allen's in empire, Dodge county and to think you are from right here in Plant City. MY side of the Allen's lived in Gastonia N.C I was born and went to school here in Plant city. I have the obituary of Hiram Allen and it lists Robert Allen and Georgia Hall of empire Dodge county as his parents. He was born 1912 and died in 1965. I have family information that Cathernine Bryant and Elmira Hinson was great grandmothers. The rest I have found on Ancestry. I would love to make contact with descendents of Robert Allen and Catherine Bryant if there are any? Hiram had a brother named Jessie and his wife was Minnie and they are buried in empire. They are on find a grave! I would love to talk to you more if you "don"t mind".
Thank You, Dallas Allen

I was looking at James Hinson's headstone and saw your middle name Allen and wondered if there is a connection to the Allen family. My names is Dallas Allen and My Great Grandfather was Robert L Allen of Empire Georgia. I think he was Robert Allen's stepfather who was married to Elmyra. I live in Plant City. If you think you can "shed some light " on this contact me please.
Thank you, Dallas

How kind you were to photograph this last memory of my grandfather's brother, who was raised as an orphan after their mother died in childbirth and their dad left them with relatives. He left a brother and a sister, who missed him. Trying to find the various parts of this family have been tough, your photo helped ease a little sadness carried through the generations. So nice to know he has a memorial.

Marsha, I can be reached at the following:
Thanks SO much for helping me with this. It's been "eating" at me for quite awhile. I think I may have more clues than I did at first, though confirmation is pretty hard. Looks like this family may have lived in Michigan City, Indiana, and I was able to find addresses for two of Nelson's children via internet. I'd hate to even approach them, however, if I have the wrong family entirely. Anxious to hear from you...
|Jeanne Weiland||Nelson Deming|
I am trying to locate any relatives of Emma (Umlauf)Deming. I have an old portrait of her, as well as one of her sister Anna, and neither of them are related to me. These were purchased at a thrift store because I couldn't bear to see them discarded as "junk."
It would appear, from what little detail I can gather, that this family was based in Indiana from the late 1800's well into the 20th century. I obtained the pictures in Appleton, Wisconsin, and have no idea to whom they belonged originally. I do wish to get these back into the hands of someone who is related and would like to have them, and I'm hoping you might be able to help. The memorial you created for Nelson Deming in 2013 is the best clue to date. It's memorial 116202978, and if you have any information about any family connections for him, I'd really appreciate a hint.
Thanks for your time and consideration. Here's HOPING...

Sorry I have not been an active Find A Grave member. I just saw your request from 2012! I added the only photo I have of my Great uncle, Francis Marion Woods.

|Bill Cassels||Thank You|
Thank you for transfering maintenance of my parents' findagrave memorials to me, and thank you for creating them.

I have no respect for the destruction of cemeteries in anyway. The Phosphate Mine did enough, but now vandalism. It would not pay for me to be a Judge and one come before me on these charges. They would be cleaning that cemetery for a long time. I am from Fort Meade and was taught to show respect. We used to do crazy things growing up but nothing this bad. Sorry for the problems at Mt. Enon. The people I have dealt with there do not seem to be to interested who is buried there.
|Donna McPherson||Joshua Creek Cemetery Books|
Just wanted to let you know I will have the first set of books on the Pioneers at Joshua Creek at the Pioneer Day Festival in Arcadia Saturday from 9-3.
