I am a retired High School Guidance Secretary, studied English and Journalism in college, and have enjoyed searching for and gathering information for the family lines of my parents and grandparents in North Carolina. I have discovered Patriots on both sides, and became a member of the Daughters of the Revolution after finding my first Patriot in Lincoln County, NC.. Learning of their heritage and descendants, as well as countries of origin: primarily German and Swiss, English, Scottish, and Irish, has been fascinating to me. I am continuing to learn, and enjoying the journey! It is always good to hear from others involved in a similar search.
