Coming from a small town and moving to the Empire State was no big deal for me because I had visited New York many times before making the move, the move exposed me to the many cultures, lifestyles and attitudes. These are just a few of the things that helped me to mature. New Yorkers seem to have had a different life style, but soon I became a New Yorker. Before moving to New York, I discovered I had a passion for music (have a musical love affair with Motown)and an interest in famous people and the history of famous people. At the age of 16 I began my own scrapbook of famous entertainers using the different magazines to gather information. Some forty years later I began putting together another scrapbook "Memorials". At this time I discovered "Find A Grave", Find A Grave helped to expand my knowledge on the history of famous people. Through my travels, I have visited many famous grave sites; have even gone out of my way searching for famous grave sites. At this point I am entering family members and friends in Find A Grave, I enjoy writing biographies, famous and non-famous. By the way, I no longer live in New York, I went from the Empire State of the North to the Empire State of the South. When I moved South, I had to work. I am now at a point in my life and I don't have to work. I am retired, yeah!!! It is such a joy.
