Find a Grave ID

Bio

Names I am researching: Davis, Bladen, Jacobs, Beech, Hixson, Lee, Suthard, and Sacrey. Most of them are from the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia area.

All photos posted by me here are for public use. No photo credit is necessary.

I am not related to most of the people whose memorials I manage, so I have no problem transferring them. Please use the "Edit" button and request a transfer if I manage a memorial of someone you would like to have. I will transfer outside of the Findagrave guidelines. I will decline a transfer if it is a family member, unless you are more closely related than I.

I, probably like many others here, use the information on Findagrave for genealogical purposes. That being said, I would like to challenge all of the photo volunteers here to take better pictures in 2024. When I take a photo, I use the same care and concern for other's gravestones that I would use for my own grandmother's. Grass clippings, bird droppings, and surface dirt should be gently wiped away so the inscriptions can be read. Stones and markers should be made to look the best they can. This, to me, is just being respectful to the person buried there. Crooked, out of focus, or chopped photos tell me that you just don't care or have something better to do and need to get to it in a hurry. People are counting on photo volunteers to provide photos for them that they cannot obtain for themselves. I think we owe it to them to do the best possible job we can.
