Bio

I'm searching my family tree and the myriad connections it makes within my community. Along the way I'm taking photos of markers I find in the general vicinity of family graves, and adding records where necessary to match the photo documentation.

I hope the photos I've added help people searching for family members, especially those who don't live in my area and are unable to visit.

If I've taken a picture of a monument for a member of your family, let me know - but please read the next paragraphs.

People - I can't stress this enough - include your membership number when you ask someone to transfer a memorial. You're asking for a favor, so help out.

About the Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery (Dunker Church)

This cemetery is quite nicely maintained. If you're visiting for a long space of time a parishioner will likely show up to see what you're doing. But many of the older monuments appear to be of a lower grade marble and have weathered poorly. Many of the photo requests for this site are impossible to fulfill as the monuments are so badly pitted they can't be read. Many of the oldest stones have broken or are missing and the graves can be located only with the Piper reading and the surrounding stones.
