(NOTE: As of 15 Sep 2017: Any Corrections/ Additions/Photo request for any memorial(s) we have created or contributed to I will respond to just as soon as I am able. Please continue to send any and all request to this new email address ([email protected]) . I will work each email as of the date they were submitted.

My wife Barbara and I were both born and raised in northern Virginia (Arlington, County) and have been active genealogist there and elsewhere for over 40+ years. Both of our family lineages are from the northern Virginia area (Loudoun, Clarke, and Fauquier Counties). Those lineages that WE ARE ALWAYS INTERESTED IN include (their spellings not really important): STICKLES, STICKELS, STICKLE, STICKEL, STICKELL; HOWDERSHELL, HOUDYSHELL, HOWDYSHELL, HOUDERSHELL, HOUNSHELL; PIER, PEER, FLETCHER, and LITTLETON.

If it happens that we have prepared a FIND A GRAVE memorial for one of your direct immediate family members and you would like to have it & transferred& to you, please use the 'correction linke located in the upper right-hand corner of each memorial. Be sure to include your direct relationship to the deceased.

And from FIND A GRAVE, under the sites " Frequently Asked Questions & #39: members can find all the answers to questions they may have related to the & quote; editing, correcting and transfer request of existing FIND A GRAVE memorials. Specifically, just a few of the existing rules for all members to remember which are posted there include:
- Always include in your request your unique member Contributor ID # which is displayed to the right of your member name on your profile page.
- Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations, this would be for your siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. At the same time of your request for transfer--you should also be able to later provide the original contributor some sort of irrefutable proof as to your actual relationship to the deceased/memorial in question.
- The transfer of any memorial is PERMANENT and cannot be undone. Your name will remain on the memorial as the original contributor, but you will no longer be able to edit bio, dates, etc. Please note that it is considered bad form to request a transfer and then, after receiving that transfer, delete that page and substitute it with a new memorial that you have created.

Please remember that there are thousands of contributors to Find A Grave; the goal is not necessarily to own each and every memorial of those to whom you may be related to. The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it.

If you should find any errors we may have made inputting information, please advise us so that we may fix those same errors immediately. If you have any questions related to any of the particular family lineages that we have created/keep track of, please advise us via email about just what you would like us to check on, search our data base(s) for, who you may desire a picture of, etc.--being sure to give us all the possible information that you can relating to your particular query. Send your queries/any questions to: [email protected]

My wife and I continue to really enjoy working on photo request or photo shoots for fellow FIND A GRAVE members (or most anyone else)--for particular tombstones, markers, individuals, etc. in cemeteries located in our general vicinity (in Ocala, FL since Nov 2015).

I am a Viet Nam era U.S. Army veteran (Nov 65 - Dec 67) and a member of both the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars for the past 50+ years. I retired from the Department Of Defense(DIA/MSIC)as Division Chief with almost 36 years of service in December 1997. My wife soon after also retired (from the private sector) and we continue to be blessed with good health--and the ability and funds to pursue our grandchildren, genealogy, and many of life's other various passions. Life for us now is about 'being less busy' -- only worrying about "QTL" - "Quality Time Left."
With warm regards,

Barbara & Larry Stickles
