I developed taphophilia in Nov 2007. I'm adding what I can, photos and accurate transcriptions, because stones deteriorate and there's no better time than now.|
On a philosophical note: I believe that an unmarried woman's surname should never be listed in the "maiden name" field, and a divorced woman who returned to her maiden name should also have that name as her surname.

thanks for the suggestion about the spelling of the last name. However I have decided to delete the memorial I created because I believe one already exists (#132157538) but I have not had the time to confirm the death from a newspaper death notice.

Thanks for your input, however your spelling is arguable.
|Bonita Scadden||RE: Phyllis Huskey|
Yes, you did indeed TRANSCRIBE the headstone as it is written. But I have her BIRTH RECORD, which I sent to you in email, showing how her name was spelled at time of birth.
If you have done any genealogy research you would know that what is on the head stone, is not always the correct information.

Are you also a descendant of the Clitty family?? You recently declined a name edit for Phyllis Clitty Huskey due to conflict of data. I would love to see the data which you have. I am currently researching my family ancestors and have a copy of Phillis's birth certificate showing that her name is in fact spelled Phillis, please check your email. If you have other records, I would love to see what information you have as well, and I can share what I have.

This is a link to a memorial I had added for him in Knox, Clarion County, Pa. Thought you might like the info. Zach just added a photo of the stone in that cemetery.

Hi, Chris Thanks for posting the memorial for Lois Anderson, her maiden name was LATTA she was born in Niagara county, NY her parents were both buried in North Ridge Cemetery near Lockport.
fathers Find A Grave# 182520804 Earl W. Latta Sr.
Mom's Find A Grave # 152591661 Matilda Adams Latta
Lois married twice 1st husband was Vincent Connor he died 1969 FL they had a son Leo Connor and daughter Kathleen who married Glenn Ford in FL. Lois then married John Anderson. (no info)
PS: being a family historian its exciting to find the "women of the family trees WHO are just hanging somewhere out on a limb", due to mutable marriages.
|suzy learn||Ruth Ellen Clark McCombs|
I don't believe this was Alton's wife. Alton's death certificate shows Ruth Buterbaugh McCombs and her SS application shows Buterbaugh as name, plus lists parents I had as William Buterbaugh and Ella Virginia Learn. I looked to see if she remarried and SSDI has McCombs as last name. I could not find a Ruth Ellen Clark married to Alton. Marriage license application for Alton and Ruth M. Buterbaugh was done on May 21, 1925 per Indiana Weekly news. Susan Learn

Chris, I happened upon your post and looked for fill in information. Sent an edit for dates. I find in the MT. Moriah index no Section/Plot. But
Family search has the death certificate that is interesting. Can you access it? Said he was a military prisoner. Jane
|Joan Pacitti||Isabelle O'Mahoney's memorial|
I went to Mrs. O'Mahoney's memorial again and discovered that there is another memorial for her.
If you're related to her, I can delete mine if you prefer. I should have noted the memorial number on that one. There's quite a bit of info. on that too. That one was done after mine and I know from the past that when entering a memorial, we're supposed to check to see if there's another one, but sometimes those things get forgotten.
About listing the hospital as her place of death, I know that's what we're supposed to do, but the way I look at it is if someone is going to do genealogy of her, her place of residence would be more reliable. I know this is NOT a genealogy site, but many people do use it.
Well, take care of yourself.
