Bio Photo Daughter of Cecil Wray Rogers and Evelyn Alice Kurtz Rogers.I was born in Pinckneyville IL in 1964,My Father now retired Captain with The United States Marine Corps was stationed in Okinawa, Japan upon my arrival only received a telegram "It's a Girl" for a few days he believed he had a daughter named Ginger. Much to his surprise my mother changed my name. I have lived at the Marine Corps Base, Camp LeJune, NC, back to Pinckneyville (a small southern town in IL) and then moved to Orlando, FL in 1971. When I married my husband Ray we moved to Apopka, FL and in 1989 I was blessed with the birth of my son Raymond (III). I truly enjoy family history. There are books and articles for my dad's side which have been extremely helpful, and I have been researching my mothers side for many years now and came across this site in 2010. It has been very helpful to me and if I can help anyone else out I will. I create the memorials to show respect to those who have gone before us and as a way to help maintain "Family History". I feel that memorials should be maintained by family, they will be able to honor them better than I, and I wish others would do the same in return. Even though I try my best to create the memorial as accurate as I can, I to make mistakes. Please send corrections and I will do my best to correct them as soon as possible.

At work I do a lot of archiving old photos. Some of my customers bring me hundreds of family photos dating back in the 1800's. I find it so fascinating. I tell them about this site so they may find some of their family members information and leave a note or just some "virtual"flowers.

today October 17, 2012 I received a email from an angry "Lady" who threatened me for creating a memorial for her family member. If I create one and you would like me to remove it, threats are not needed. I feel I am very respectful of the departed and I KNOW many have appreciated the time we volunteers take to create and post memorials. I appreciate the information I have found about my families on Find A Grave, and I THANK EACH and everyone who volunteers!

RE: Robert McLeod
I just called the cemetery and learned that it spreads out over 75 acres. I wouldn't want to randomly look for a grave in that cemetery either!

To help find the veritable needle in a haystack, the grave is located in Section P, Block 1, Space 88. Hope that helps.

I cannot thank you enough for taking this photo (if you can find it). It will mean the world and all to my father. Thanks again! Betsy Geiger

RE: Kubiak Memorials

My wife and I took a drive out to St. Michał's back on a lovely 19th of Feb. We live 2 hours away in the northern part of St. Louis County. I must have taken 250 photos of any names that I thought could be related. So If we dig deep enough we could find we are related! My Mom' Family also came from the area with the name Kozielek. Also Bochantin and Kemnetz family names represent my 4 grandparents. We also have many buried at St. Charles in DuBois. It has been fun to contribute many Gravestone and personal or family photos to the site! Does each individual burial ground have an "administrator" to help things along? And you are you the one for St. Michał's? Thanks again for your help! You can see I'm new to Find-A Grave just learning the ropes.

RE: Virginia Neale
To my knowledge, she is not related to the other Neale's in that cemetery. Sterling is my grandfather's cousin and I was hoping to find out where he is buried and I came across her information from an obituary. It's possible someone logged her memorial from the obituary and maybe it was wrong. It was second marriage for both of them so I'm not sure of the exact family dynamic regarding who else might be at that cemetery. Thanks for your interest!

RE: Virginia Neale
Thank you for your email with the information about obtaining plot information for Virginia Neale. I called the cemetery and they had no record for her. So I'm not sure where the disconnect is regarding her memorial on Find A Grave and the cemetery. I may have to do a little more investigation. Thanks for responding to me. She is wife of my grandfather's cousin and I met her once. She was very sweet. I also have some distant relatives I can try and obtain more information. Thank you!

RE: Cornell's at Woodlawn, FL
Sharon: Thank you soooo much for going the extra mile on this. The photo are great. Really like the grid overlay noting who is where. No guessing here. As for Edison, his may be a cenotaph. The other cemetery has a record problem, so even though I provided them w/his obit an and headstone application indicating burial there, they cannot find anything. I will cross reference both of Edison's memorials. Again, I really appreciate the transfers an will do diligence to up date the memorials. All the best. Bill Preston in Saratoga County N.Y.

Re: phots for D H Walker (FL)
My heartfelt thanx to you! for capturing such lovely photos of my 'step-monster's' grave marker, now updated, since her recent death! She was a horribly twisted sociopath, probably due to her alcoholic father's handling of her, her mother, and two older sisters. I will never be able to understand, or forgive her behaviors, that destroyed my childhood ... but? now that she is 'gone' from this planet? My 'inner child' is finally liberated from the constant fears that her abuses engendered in me. I am too infirmed now, to revisit the grave, so I do truly thank you for your kindness in 'completing' this page, with updated photos! Bless you, and your efforts, fellow volunteer contributor at this website!
