Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is MaryEllen Leigh-Stover. I'm a retired nurse, an Ordained Minister and a Doctor of Theology. Cemeteries have always been a hobby of mine, but I find it frustrating that many cemetery records are incomplete. I found this site and decided to do my part by adding those dearly departed that I am personally aware of. This may turn out to be quite a task!
My friend RMP suddenly passed away on March 31, 2010. She and I had made it our project to add a flower to every one's memorial in our home county of Bucks in PA; I will still be carrying on that project alone. There are so many graves without any flowers at all and that is sad to see. If in your journey through Find A Grave's memorials in Bucks County PA, should you come across a memorial I have missed please post a message for me or send me a link. I really do not want to overlook anyone and would appreciate the extra eyes.
I am also doing all the cemeteries in Wales, and many in N. Ireland, since my heritage is mostly from these areas. If you know of or have any Welsh or Irish relatives that you would like entered, I'd be glad to do that for you.
Another current project is a huge one. Along with the projects I have mentioned above, I am steadily working through all American, Allied and Commonwealth (British Empire) graves in France and North Africa (so far, this will expand to include Germany in the future) for both WWI and WWII. I have always been a student of history and I firmly believe if we don't know where we came from and how we got here, including the cost of lives lost, we will never be able to find our way forward.
If there are any entries that I have made from our local newspaper's obituaries that may be of your loved ones, relatives or friends, I will be more than happy to turn them over to you upon request. Please, feel free to alert me to any additions or corrections that you may find.

Your Website

Just an FYI

When I click your website link it takes you to the main page for Verizon and prompts for a log in. Not sure if you are aware of this. I was interested in finding any information on Cemeteries in Wales that perhaps you may have.

Have a great day

Arline Richards Morris-Battles
Arline Battles was my great-aunt and I've created a memorial for her here:

I see that you created one as well. Can you delete it as to prevent confusion?

W.W. I Grave Site for Flowers
Dear, Rev. Dr. Mary, Thanks for adding flowers on the graves of Franklin and Annie Thatcher in Bucks Co.. Here is a WWI grave in Belgium that might be meaningful to you for placing memorial flowers, from being a Nurse. Sir Dr. William Osler [Canadian] of the the Johns Hopkins note and the forefather of modern medicine practice, then of Oxford, had a son Edward REVERE Osler b. 28 Dec. 1895 in Baltimore with wife Grace Revere a g.g.g.grandaughter of the "Paul Revere of Revolution War- Boston history". Osler's son Revere signed up with the British Forces and was killed on 30 August 1917 near Ypres. Of all coincidences was that Dr. Harvey Cushing of Hopkins was not far away and was brought in to attend him till his death at the Casualty Clearing Station. Cushing later wrote a profound paragraph to his wife on Revere's death

" A soggy Flanders field beside a little oak grove to the rear of the Dosinghem group-an overcast, windy, autumnal day-the long rows of simple wooden crosses- the new ditches half full of water being dug by the Chinese coolies wearing tin helmets- the boy wrapped in an army blanket and covered by a weather worn Union Jack, carried on the shoulders by four slipping stretcher-bearers. A strange scene- the great great grandson of Paul Revere under a British flag and and waiting him a group of some six or eight American Army medical officers-saddended with thoughts of his father...The Padre recited the usual service- the bugler gave the Last Post, and we went about our duties. Plot 4, Row F.
