I'm happy to transfer any memorials of people I'm not related to.
FIRST please read the FAQs here: Transfers
Then click on the EDIT tab at the top right corner of the memorial and then click
"Suggest any other correction or addition". This will generate an e-mail from Find A Grave with links to the memorial and your member page... less chance for errors this way.

I'm only human and I make mistakes (especially when my "Coffee Low-Level Warning Light" is blinking); so any Edits or additions are gladly welcomed. ^_^

For corrections/additional facts for a memorial,
see here: Corrections
Then click on the EDIT tab at the top right corner of the memorial. It's easy to make edits to Dates/Places, Family Links, Name, Plot/GPS location, and Marker Transcription. For Bio info or to notify me of a duplicate, you still need to click "Suggest any other correction or addition".

RE: Greendale Cemetery
Hi Rick, I agree that Greendale is not represented well on Find-a-Grave and I hope to make a bit of change in that. This cemetery is huge with over 19,000 graves in Greendale alone, so it can be a bit intimidating. I photographed many headstones that were not yet on Find A Grave so added them as I went along.

I went on my first adventure there, mostly just to walk the trailhead, but my love of the old headstones has me hooked so I just took some time to take a few shots here and there as I made my way from the top of the hill down to where I parked my car. I did stop at the office and got a map and already have some idea of where I want to start. I have a list of the requested photos with me also. I would like to tackle just one section at a time as I familiarize myself with the layout of both cemeteries.

Tackling a job of this size will take some time, so I will keep my fingers crossed and look forward to my next visit there. I am a local, so I should be able to manage a few trips throughout the summer. I do however, take care of another local cemetery (Hatch Cemetery) which I run a facebook page for as well as in depth research on the people who are buried there.

If there is anything I can do to help you, please let me know.
Marilyn

RE: Getchell connection ?
Hey Rich! So great to get your messages! We're in Seattle on grandparent duty but as soon as we get home on Tuesday, I'll check both the Powell records to see if Thomas is the brother of Jesse + see if you & Jerry are related thru the Getchell connection😊 Sounds like you guys are most likely some level of cousins! It's always so exciting to connect with "family" and we're both thrilled to meet you! Promise to get back to you soon👍 Julie

Nice to see someone else made the great snow escape. But I do miss the trees!

No, I hadn't seen anything about the Girl in Blue till you mentioned it, so I did check it out. Sad, but at least they're back together. So they apparently never knew what happened to her?

Rater memorials
Hi, I wanted to say hello, as Henry Rater is my third great grandfather too so we must be cousins to some degree. I wanted to ask you since you're interested in genealogy too, if you have ANY information or stories or photos of Henry or Henrietta Rater. Or Salina Sylvia Rater Pratt who was married to my gg grandfather Samuel Pratt. I would greatly appreciate it since nobody else has anything on them. I would so like to try to trace back to Germany but I don't have any information about Henry or Henrietta's parents names or even her maiden last name. Thank you very much and nice to meet you! Martha Gatchell/Forest Hill
Hi Rich,

Sorry to say that there is no way of knowing where she may be buried in A/34. It is a very large plot and the only family that I can find, which there are several, are the Thompson family.
Someone else a while back requested the same photo, but I went there again this morning, just to make sure.

Sincerely, Ron Kinney
