I was never one to visit cemeteries until 1997 when my mom passed away suddenly. I would go and visit her grave but that was the only one I would visit. I was searching for information on headstones for my dad when I found Find A Grave. I went to the site and looked around and I was hooked. Been here every since. This is a wonderful site. I now go to cemeteries all over the state.|
If you have the time could you stop by and leave my mom some flowers Thanks

|Bill Norman||Theresa Marie Anderson|
I am writing about the Flower you left on Find A Grave Memorial#287470 for Theresa Marie Anderson, and I'm wondering if you might be related to her mother Lorilee Ann Dalton. I am researching a fellow U.S. Marine - Kleve Lunde Anderson - who I believe is Theresa's father. The "CPL, US MARINE CORPS" mentioned on Theresa's memorial must refer to her father since Theresa died as an infant. Any help will be appreciated. Respectfully,

Hi Velma - I'm wondering if you are related to the Manka's? I noticed you added a photo of the large Manka memorial and some of the smaller Manka stones in the Mace Cemetery, Montgomery County, Indiana. I would like to find out who put in the newer Manka headstones. I am related to this Manka family. Sarah Manka is my 4x GreatGrandMother. I'm Pamela (Manka) Cass - my email is firstname.lastname@example.org. If you aren't related, do you know who I can contact for information on the Mace Cemetery? Thanks! --Pamela (Manka) Cass

Hello, Velma! I just want to thank you. I just took a chance to look for my Great Grandfather's grave. My grandmother, Gertrude, has been gone since the 1980's and I knew she was from Montgomery county, had lived in Tippicanoe county also but lived most of her adult life in Benton and Warren counties. So where her father was buried was anyones guess. I started at the eaarly years and there he was! Thanks again~ Angela

Do you happen to remember if there was an individual headstone was evident for Martha Wright Moss? She is a slightly distant cousin.
Either way, thanks for posting the picture.
|Steven Merrick||Hazel Ennis Merrick|
Hello Velma. My name is Steven Merrick, son of Willard Bingham Merrick. I have been doing a bit of research into his family, specifically into his brother Samuel Olney Merrick that was Killed in a car wreck in 1939. My parents never really talked about him other than he was a hell raiser and was killed young, but today when I was doing some research I found an Arizona marriage record for 1937 to a Hazel Ennis, and this same person was mentioned as being in the 1939 car accident that killed my uncle. I am just wondering if that Hazel is your Hazel? I see she died in 1999 and if she is the same person, I will always be sad that I was unaware she existed so I could have met her. Anyway, thanks for your response!

|Suzanne Hughes Creps||Rebecca Frances Hughes|
I'm wondering if there are any headstones in proximity to Rebecca Frances Hughes that might provide a clue as to whose child she was. All of the other Hugheses Find A Grave has recorded in Old Town Cemetery (although none have headstones) are ancestors of mine. I'm thinking she might have been Hiram Hughes' daughter.
Thank you in advance for any information you can provide. I hope to get to Crawfordsville someday to wander through the memories. John and Ruhamah Fullen Hughes, also in Old Town, were my 3x Great Grandparents and they had many children.
