Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born & live in Central Washington State. I had thought that my family was small but that has not been the case. Genealogy has taken me places that I could never have imagined. My family line includes Kobernik, Daily/Dailey, Bishop, Krider/Crider, Monninger, Foutz, Southward/Southwood, Swearingen, Hainline/Hanlein, Miller/Mueller, Guy, Waggoner, Ralls, Hart, Drews/Drefs & Griep. My Kobernik line comes from Germany (now Poland) and the others mostly from Fulton Co, IL; PA; MD; & VA.
I enjoy working on my family but also helping others to locate their ancestors. In 2012 I took photos of most of the graves at Terrace Heights Memorial Park, Yakima, WA. (A few of the temps cannot be read).
Please let me know if anything needs to be corrected, transferred (if not my family) or removed. You have permission to use any grave stone that I have posted. Happy Genealogy Hunting!
P S - If you are trying to find someone that is at Terrace Heights Memorial Park in Yakima you can now go to
and type in the name, etc. One thing I noticed, however, that a number of them have the same month and day on the birth and death day. It is probably either the birth or death date but not both. The years are probably correct.

Thank you for the photo of Gillespie Speelman's headstone. I was surprised to see it was dated back to 2012. Do you just hang onto them until someone asks for them? Just curious as I too enjoy photographing cemeteries but am fairly new at it. Thanks again!

I couldn't help but think, the headstone photos look like January in Hawaii--and I have never been to Hawaii.

Thank you for caring and sharing them from your files. They were a wonderful gift for me to see.

Thank you for the offer to transfer the 2 memorials, but they are closer to your location than mine here in Missouri.

Jack H. Goetz's mother is a Gibson. The Gibson family moved from Missouri years ago and we just lost track of them.

If you enjoy old photos trace Jack H. Goetz's family back to the Evilsizers here in Missouri.

Every day counts.

Dear Joan,
Thank You so very much for sharing the lovely photo of Jack, wife Peggy and their son's headstones. Thank you for the addition of their names for identification.

I was so very surprised to see the request filled so soon. I was expecting photos with headstones half covered in snow.

Thank you for creating the memorial for Peggy and their son. I was so pleased to see them all buried together.

Charvet & Hall
Hello again, Joan, Thanks for the offer to transfer Eugene Patrick Charvet at Mabton to me. All of the Charvets (and Halls) there are related to me in some way. I've been going to France for a dozen years just to work in various French archives, and have traced us all back into the 1500s. The same applies to the Halls in England. Its been rewarding. -- It is not necessary that you transfer these relatives to me unless you want to, although I will continue to make updating their memorials. However, you could transfer my grandparents to me: Irénée Charvet (#59092175), and Marie-Louise Charvet (#59092092). -- I would also appreciate it if you would transfer my dearest aunt Austa Helen "Auzzie" (Hall) Hampson (#59396508). Quite a lady! She had no kids, so there won't be any another claims to her. I would like to expand her memorial. -- I greatly appreciate everything you've done! With my best regards, E.F. Charvet (#47096059)

Eugene Patrick Charvet
Hello! The wrong father is attached to the memorial for EUGENE PATRICK CHARVET (#59111800). His mother is Jeanne (Menager) Charvet, who first married EUGENE MARIE CHARVET (#38782321). This is Eugene Patrick Charvet's father. Tragically, his father died of pneumonia, a complication due to a ruptured appendix, about 3 months before he was born. His mother then married the BROTHER of her first husband, Emmanuel Joseph Charvet, and subsequently had 12 more children with him. (These are Eugene Patrick Charvet's half siblings.) ---- Since you control the memorial, I would GREATLY appreciate it if you would please make the correction to change the father of EUGENE PATRICK CHARVET (#59111800) to EUGENE MARIE CHARVET (#38782321). Thank you so much! I appreciate all of the great work you have done for Find A Grave! with best best regards, E.F. Charvet

Victor Carl Peterson 1893-1980
Hi Joan-

I saw your memorial for Victor C. Peterson, burial in Yakima - # 66556735.

I am looking for some of his family, and just wondered if you might be family? His parents were Peter Peterson and Hilda Johnson.

I was recently contacted by a person who found the missing marker of Victor's grandparents, Andrew Johnson and Maria Nelson. The marker went missing in the 1980's. Andrew and Maria are buried in Bothell, in the Swedish Cemetery and I would like to find some family from Andrew and Maria. Victor would be their grandson.

Please let me know if you are family and interested in knowing about the marker! I would like to place it back into the cemetery.

Thank you!

Edmonds, WA
