Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born & live in Central Washington State. I had thought that my family was small but that has not been the case. Genealogy has taken me places that I could never have imagined. My family line includes Kobernik, Daily/Dailey, Bishop, Krider/Crider, Monninger, Foutz, Southward/Southwood, Swearingen, Hainline/Hanlein, Miller/Mueller, Guy, Waggoner, Ralls, Hart, Drews/Drefs & Griep. My Kobernik line comes from Germany (now Poland) and the others mostly from Fulton Co, IL; PA; MD; & VA.
I enjoy working on my family but also helping others to locate their ancestors. In 2012 I took photos of most of the graves at Terrace Heights Memorial Park, Yakima, WA. (A few of the temps cannot be read).
Please let me know if anything needs to be corrected, transferred (if not my family) or removed. You have permission to use any grave stone that I have posted. Happy Genealogy Hunting!
P S - If you are trying to find someone that is at Terrace Heights Memorial Park in Yakima you can now go to
and type in the name, etc. One thing I noticed, however, that a number of them have the same month and day on the birth and death day. It is probably either the birth or death date but not both. The years are probably correct.

Helmer and Hilda Carlson
Thank you very much for the pictures of their grave stones. Hilda was a cousin to my father.

No need to feel bad, it was a good experience. Funckstown was charming and the weather was beautiful. Plus we were able to photograph a few other gravestones that people were looking for.

Joan, I deeply appreciate you photographing the grave of Margueritte Bauer in Yakima. My next request was going to be a photo of her daughter's grave, but to my surprise she was buried next to her mother and you photo captured both. Again, much appreciation. John

JOAN, Two more sites were tranferred into Terrace Heights after seeing my sites there. The sites are those of Charles & Harriet Chambers--I have put in photo request for them. Thanks for your continued beautiful photographic work. R.

Truman, Amanda and Elwood Howell photos
Thank you so much for the photos of this family. They're very nice and the labeling is appreciated. Truman Howell was orphaned in Wisconsin by the age of 10 (his died when he was four and his mother when he was 10) and he later found his way West where several of his Uncles and relocated. It's nice to connect him up with the rest of his family.

In return, I plan on fullfilling your two photo requests for Elizabeth and Ludwiq Bentz in Funktown Maryland. I am about 50 minutes away and it will make a nice day trip. I've never done a grave photo before, but this seems like a good place to start.

Thanks again

Beverly Albert
It was given to me by a historian of the family history and had a name on the back of the pic.

Blanch Drenan (Aunt Blanch).
Thanks for your sharp eye on this one & beautiful photos on the Drenan memorials in Terrace Heights.
This is very confusing on tombstones when person only identified as Aunt or Mother & Father. Fortunately, the dates were added for Aunt Blanch's birth & death. R.

Duplicated Sites from an UNKNOWN status being transferred into Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
Joan, I wanted to alert you that there are people identifying sites we have created in Terrace Heights Memorial Park & then transferring their sites from an UNKNOWN status thus duplicating sites in Terrace Heights. One case in point is Mont & Marjorie Chambers--I have ask person to delete these sites that were transferred into the cemetery after my sites created. This is against find a grave rules when I found the sites in question. Please do not add photos on these sites--they will be deleted by Administration. If you find any of my sites duplicated, please notify me. Find a Grave can identify when the sites in questioned were transferred into the cemetery. Richard
