Bio

WHEN REQUESTING TRANSFERS DO NOT USE ANY VERSION OF " This is a ??? and I would like to add info and make family connection." A transfer is not necessary for this to be done and if that is the reason you want to manage the memorial then you should leave it with the current manager who may take better care of it than you would.

Feel free to use any picture I have entered. Credit would be appreciated but not required.

Below I Repeat Anne Rupert's Bio comment: Lastly...
To all who remind us the primary purpose of Find a Grave is "GRAVE REGISTRATION", and then recite in your bio the FAG rules... yes we get it!... but it is a mere "starting point" as we work together, share, and seek to know more about the folks, what they looked like and where they lived as we "register their graves." We will go to great lengths to find out more!... to sum this up they are "NOT JUST A NAME ON A STONE!"

It is not about numbers, it's about honoring those who came before us.

THE ANCESTOR
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
on polished, marbled stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I'd exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
in flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
one hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
and come to visit you.
