Bio

Member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants (William Brewster), the New England Historic Genealogical Society, and the Maine Genealogical Society.

If you find that one of my memorials is of someone you are related to and you would like a transfer, please click the "Edit" tab and tell me of your relationship. I am pretty flexible concerning relationships.

Corrections, changes, and additions should be sent as an edit request. However, for other questions and comments, you are welcome to contact me either through a Find-A-Grave message or directly to my email address. Please note, however, that messages sent to my email address that look at all suspicious (ie: having a spammy subject line or from a disreputable domain name) will be immediately deleted without being opened. If you send me an email and I do not respond, please re-send your inquiry via a Find-A-Grave message. I reply to all legitimate inquiries.

If you have your Find-A-Grave messages disabled and do not list an email address in your profile please do not send me a transfer request. Anonymous transfer requests will not be considered.

I will not accept or post census record transcriptions to the BIO section of any of my memorials. I will, however, post transcripts of newspaper obituaries.

I consider the gravestone photos that I have taken for Find-A-Grave to be in the Public Domain. You are therefore free to use the photos I have taken without asking my permission or giving me credit.

I occasionally post death certificates to Find-A-Grave memorials. However, I do this only for 1) unmarked graves, 2) gravestones with no date of death, 3) gravestones with a different date of death than on the deceased's death certificate, 4) or instances where the deceased had a different last name than the name engraved on the stone. I ask that you NOT post death certificates to any of my memorials if they already have a gravestone photo posted. If you find a death certificate and my memorials do not incluede birth and death dates, etc., please send that information to me in Edit Requests so that I can approve them and update the memorial.
Notice: If I find that you have posted a death certificate to one of my memorials that already has a gravestone photo, I WILL contact Find-A-Grave and have it removed.

Also, please know that I occasionally find that I have taken gravestone photos for memorials that already have existing photos. If I find that my photo is markedly better because the existing photo is crooked, uncropped, overcropped, taken from a distance, or taken from a poor angle, I will go ahead and add my photo. Please do not contact me to advise or complain that I have "duplicated" an existing photo. Thank you for your understanding.
