When I was in high school I needed to do a family pedigree for one of my class projects. To my surprise, almost no one in the family knew anything beyond their parents/grandparents when asking them questions. I thought that was ridiculous. From that point on my family's genealogy has been my passion. And for the last 20+ years I have been contributing to this site, and from time to time go I out and take photo requests that are in the area. It has become a part of my passion too.
