I am retired military and do NOT believe a rank defines whom a person was, so I do not include ranks with their name as a title (unless they died in the line of duty). A Dr defines a person's life, the rank does not. There are a LOT of people that did not serve honorably and don't deserve the title. If you're gonna add a rank, start adding Mr, Miss, or Mrs.
