RANDOLPH"S OF VIRGINIA & KENTUCKY

I am a direct descendant of John Thomas Randolph 1704-1735. Most of my information is from "The Randolph's of Prince William County, Virginia" compiled by Blanche Randolph, and her assistants Ora Lee Uzzel-Sharp & Verna Kirby-Wilkerson.
Lines are Randolph/Bland/Cohran/Kirby/Oates/Osborne/Oglesby/Uzzel.
The Prince William County VA Line is NOT related by DNA or marriage to any Randolphs of Henirco County Virginia or Berkeley Virginia.

COHRAN/CORAN/CORRON

My grandmother was Lena Mae "Choran". Born 08 Dec 1899 in Sevier County, Arkansas and died during childbirth on 25 Apr 1934 in McCurtain County, Oklahoma.

Her father was, John Evans Cohran. He was born in Jan of 1851 in Pauldings County, Georgia. He died about 1925 Choctaw County, Oklahoma. His name is spelled "Cochran" on the 1870 census, "Cohoron" on the 1880 census, "Coin" on the 1900 census. And on marriage records his name was spelled, "Corn" and "Chron". The same is true for every family photo.

I spent ten years trying to connect to the "Cohran Family" of Pauldings County, Georgia. It was only this year, when a cousin from my gr-grandfather's first marriage contacted me, did we successfully put the pieces of this puzzle together. Oh and she is a "Corron"! We are doing DNA testing for this family at our expense. We have only gone back to John A Cohran born abt 1791 in Georgia and he was married to Nancy Hood.

The Adams line is connected to many of the Blairs, Caudills and Whitakers who traveled the same migration path and who married into each others families. Note: my cousin is also a "walden", so there is a tree going back to "Walden's Mountain".

From Surrey & Wilkes Counties North Carolina, to Perry, Harlan, Letcher & Bell, Counties Kentucky to Wise & Scott Counties, Virginia, to Washington D.C. & Kingsport Tennessee.
