I am interested mostly in Pennsylvania genealogy with a concentration in LOWMASTER (incl. LAUMEISTER, LAUMASTER, LOWMASTER, LAWMASTER, LOUMASTER) where I've spent more than 25 years trying to see if everyone named LOWMASTER and LAWMASTER are related.

I also concentrate on the SHERRY (Scherie - German, not Irish) and STATES surnames with further interest in BARTLEBAUGH, KURTZ, MCDOWELL, POSTLETHWAITE (any spelling) SPYKER, and WENGER names.

By the late 19th century most of my ancestors were living in a 30-mile diameter that encompassed Armstrong, Clarion, Indiana, and Jefferson counties. Earlier my ancestors were in Lancaster, Lebanon, Northumberland, and York counties, Pa.

Outside of Fairview Cemetery in Canoe Twp., Indiana Co., where I have more ancestors buried than any other location, the pages I have created are almost always for my family members. Occasionally my research finds people who have no page for which I create one. If you see a memorial page of someone who is closer to you than to me, just ask, nicely, and I will probably be glad to transfer it to you. I can't take them with me.

My three angels watching over me are my daughter, Lindsay Sherry, my sister, Beth Rae Sherry, and my father, Rev. Harry C. Sherry.
