I am the son of C.W. Blacklock, son of Bernard Marvin, son of Clark Wilson, son of Richard Tyrus Blacklock. I am of the twelfth generation of Blacklocks in America and am a fifth generation Texian. Geneology has interested me for years. I believe that if you want to know where you're going, you must know where you've been.Ironically, many families won't or don't speak of our ancestors. Information is lost or forgotten as a result. What I have learned of my people makes me proud. Ours were a proud and adventurous lot. They were among the earliest settlers of our great state of Texas.
