Bio

I love local history and have become involved in learning about some of the communities and townships that sprang up during the gold rush, logging and railroad construction days. Many of these townships are only a memory now with little to no evidence that they existed at all. I love hunting down any tidbit of information I can find on these former townships and when I'm out in my travels, I often stumble across small family cemeteries or plots that exist in a part of nowhere and have a story to tell.

I have a metal detector and have used it to find many grave markers buried in my hometown pioneer cemetery (Linkville Cemetery). I also have a cemetery index for Linkville Cemetery which has helped greatly in locating these grave markers with metal plates.

Visit my blog website and read a few articles I've posted about local history in my area!
