Bio

Hello fellow gravers…

July 5, 2011 - Please do not post 'jpegs' of the text from "obits" or "death certificates" on my memorials or post biographical information on virtual flowers. Use the edit tab on the memorial and submit biographical information, additions, corrections and such that way so it can be added to the main page.

To all of the animal lovers that come across my profile, please visit and leave a note to a champion of our animal friends. He was a veterinarian and you could tell by being in his presence that he loved animals. Our animal friends lost a true friend when he passed away. Dr James Douglas "Nub" Neighbors

Also if you have time please stop by and visit two of my virtual cemeteries for 'Cremated' and 'Donated to Science' as these persons don't have a traditional resting place and others won't just happen by to leave them virtual flowers.

The majority of my extended family in Texas are from the Jack & Wise County areas with others in the surrounding counties. I also have a large family group from my Leatherwood tree in the Crosbyton area just east of Lubbock.

My paternal side consists of the surnames Wigington, Smirl, Chipman, Phillips, Shurbet, Caraway, Jackson, Lively & Riddle.

My one maternal side consists of the surnames Sampley, with the branches of Bentley, Caldwell, Clayton, Coley, Colter, Cox, Doss, Keel, Manley, McCloud, Newsome, Oliver, Potts, Rice & Stafford.

The other maternal side consists of the surnames Leatherwood, with the branches of Bilby, Dunlap, Epperson, Evans, Hickman, Horn, Horton, Humphries, Lane, Marley, Miller, Raper, Rhodes, Richardson, Spencer, Starrett, Teague, Thornhil, Wakefield, Whaley & Winegar.
