Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm addicted to Genealogy so my wife says. I've been doing it for about fifteen years. Taking pictures of all the kin I never got to meet. We were told we were the last of the Reece's "NOT"!! I started out with about ten names and have over six thousand five hundred. I'm really glad there are people who will help you with your research. FindAGrave is another tool for newcomers to Genealogy and Veterans. If you find any errors or would like for us to correct the info that was supplied to us please use the edit tab then the suggest a correction (SAC) bar. My brother Jim & Rosa King and I are currently working on all the NC Vietnam KIA/MIA's Grave sites. After 8 years of searching, we've located all of the resting places for these brave men & women who paid the ultimate price, over 1900 of them. This doesn't mean we are idle. Now we are looking for their photos. The search for all Vietnam KIA/MIA's goes on !A veteran who has served honorably in a time of war may bear the title of the highest grade held during that war. This right is conferred by Congress in law by 10 US Code 772 Section (e) .

The Joyce Powell at Greenlawn was not the Powell I was looking for. But we have since located ours. Thank you for your help.

Lieutenant John Kaugars
My dearest Tom,

I just wanted to thank you for adding John's picture to his memorial on Find A Grave. His friends and I have spent years looking for his grave site and in our panic didn't check Find A Grave. One of his friends just found it and notified us.

It is such a relief to know that he made it home from Vietnam.

John was born in Latvia during WWII, his family lived in a displaced persons' camp in Germany until they were able to emigrate to the United States when he was about six. His father died when John was in grade school. Somehow, his Mom, younger brother, and John were able to thrive on very little. John graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. His death was horrific.

It means a great deal to us that there are people like you that are taking the time and making the effort that you are.

Thank you again and God bless.

Thank you, Tom, for attempting to fulfill my photo request. Though I'm not happy the poor child's grave is unmarked, at least I know, and I have removed my photo request. Have a nice day.
