If you want a photo on additional Find A Grave memorials, such as when there is a double stone, please ask me to post those so I don't find my photos with your name on them. When requesting photos, please don't request additional photos in the notes. If the people have memorials, submit those requests from the memorials. Requests in the notes are easily missed, and disappear when a request is filled. Also, such requests deny credit to the volunteer who takes the photos for you.

If you are a contributor on Find A Grave and find that I or another contributor manage a memorial for your close family member, you can request that the memorial be transferred to you by submitting the request through "Contact Manager" on the edit page of the memorial. Please, submit the request ONLY directly from the memorial so that we'll have the links for a smooth, accurate transfer. Please don't try to make the request any other way. The links are important for accuracy, and I don't want to have to hunt them down.

If you are more distantly related, or the person is in your family tree, then many others are also related. You can make edits and updates, or add photos, without managing the memorial. Find A Grave is not the place to build your family tree, especially with unknown burials simply to create the links. There are better sites for family trees.

If you do not know when your ancestor died or where he was buried, please don't create a memorial or cemetery for him, or place his memorial in an existing cemetery. Family, transcribers, and photographers will search a cemetery for a grave that was never there, and researchers will see your creation as fact since Find A Grave is a database for grave locations.
