Bio

My paternal family moved to Washington State in the late 19th century from Ohio, Iowa, and Pennsylvania, while my maternal family came from Iowa and North Dakota (originally from Ireland) and Minnesota (from Germany).

I enjoy searching in these states for my relatives and their relatives and friends.

In real life I have been a librarian for over 40 years and a politician for over 20, currently a port commissioner, and formerly a state legislator, a city councilman, and mayor.

Moak, Good, Mielke, Stender, and Redmond are some of the lines I follow.

To me, Findagrave is about sharing and not owning, so I willing share anything on my Findagrave entries. I have enjoyed building my family tree with the help of others on Findagrave, and I hope my work helps others. Feel free to ask for transfers.
