Please do NOT hesitate to contact me if you wish that a family member's memorial be removed. I understand that the resting places of loved ones are very special and personal. My intention to create these memorials is to share and hopefully help those who are seeking out burials for either family research or for viewing family markers. Personally, I have a memorial set up for my father and I don't have it in me to add a picture of his gravestone. Just too final I guess. I have special pictures of him up for family to see. If someone else were to add a picture of his tombstone I would prob. ask that they take it down. This is very personal to me. So I understand how someone might feel about this...I totally respect your request and understand completely.

This is a picture of my son who had accompanied me on one of many trips to old cemeteries in the area. He's leaning against a tombstone of a fellow who died almost 200 years ago! I had taken a rubbing of this stone when I was my son's age....Still have the rubbing!!! Stored away for safe keeping. Someday maybe someone will contact me asking about the tombstone...I can't even get a good picture of it anymore, it's leaned over so far!

This is a big reason why I like going around these old cemeteries....taking pictures of the old stones.....to preserve a bit of the past...or should I say...monuments to the memory of the people of the past...before they slip away....crumble into dust...like so many already have...

I ask that the images which i have worked VERY HARD to capture NOT be copied and published to another websight without my permission. Images are not allowed to be copied for publication and resale. Personal use for family genealogy is fine but it's always nice to be asked and credited. This is a simple thing to do and goes along way to make me feel that i'm doing something good for others.
