Judy Sweany was born in Fremont, Ohio, and raised in Fort Myers, Fla. She is the daughter of Allen Andrew and Tabitha Marie (Miller) Pontius and the granddaughter of Willard and Fannie Marie (Morton) Pontius and Wesley Oliver and Cora Ann (Gnepper) Miller.
