Bio and Links
Bio Photo Research of my families encompasses a wide-ranging list of surnames and locales. My primary focus is (paternal) Fortney, Groves, Knapp, & Summers and (maternal) Armstrong, Boylen & Fawley all of whom eventually ended-up in West Virginia including those who migrated early-on from Maryland, Pennsylvania & (old) Virginia.

The majority of memorials I have created are of my relatives. However, I have created some memorials for unrelated folks whose headstones I just happened to photograph while visiting a particular cemetery. If I have created a memorial that you'd like transferred to you, please send a note via normal channels under the 'Edit' tab of the memorial with a comment stating your relationship to that person.

Headstone Photos: permission is hereby given to relatives to use my headstone photos for their personal use. You can right click on a photo and select to Save to your computer.

If you are or think you are related to me, please contact me by email and/or visit my website.

Greathouse transfers
Thank you so much for the transfers... a sweet bonus. I am related through the Radabaugh side. I'm a distant relative but will take great care of them. Much appreciated! -- Colyn

RE: Minnie A Wooddell #55123006
Hi Del,
I updated the Wooddell family photo captions.
Did you see the memorial I started for my dad's Uncle Ed Wooddell?
Before she died, my Aunt Alma (daddy's sister) passed some ancient photos to my dad's sister in law Anne (Married to Shirley Don "Buck.)
Aunt Anne sent them to me, and one was of JC's brother Ed and his wife Hattie at the old Wooddell homeplace at Linwood!
The story behind that photo is that it was their wedding day, but I didn't caption the photo with that because I'm not 100% sure of the information.
Hattie is wearing a fancy dress and holding a bouquet, and Ed is wearing a suit so it may be true.
Ed was my cousin Diana Barton's Grandfather. Her dad was Kieth Wooddell.
I'll see if Diana can confirm the photo.
Here's the link to the photo:

RE: Minnie A Wooddell #55123006
Hi Del,
I was finally able to view the original Wooddell Family photo and transcribe the handwriting.
The person standing next to Minnie isn't her husband. It's her brother Grover.
The family member who wrote names on the photo had a strange way of writing the letter "G" that made it look like a "M."
In the copy, the writing looks like "Mr," and I assumed "Mr. Dodrill."
Thank you for bringing the date of the photo into question so I could go back and get the correct information.
