I have been a member of Find a Grave for several years mostly to look for famous people for the 1st couple of years on the site.In May 2008 I started actively searching for marker requests for folks in the Preston & Monongalia County areas of West Virginia.I was inspired by a trip to look for my great grandma's marker that day in May and I was bitten by the Find A Grave bug so to speak.I wanted to help people get pictures of their loved ones' grave markers and it's been a very pleasurable & rewarding hobby ever since.I take it as a challenge to locate cemeteries I've never been to and searching through thousands of headstones looking for requests.I have great respect for the people that have passed away and are no longer with us,and to be able to visit them even if it's just to look for a marker I feel that I also help these people to not be forgotten.|
Sorry for the lack of updates to anyone that reads my profile.Due to not having $ for gas I have not been able to make any treks for marker searching but hopefully that will change sooner than later.Hope all of my Find A Grave friends are doing well and have a great summer.
Please let me know if I can transfer, correct and/or update any listings that I have put online.
**If you have the time, please leave a flower for my grandma Dee - she was one of the most influential & loving persons that I've known and I miss her so much & hope she is proud of what I have done for others through this great site.**

Does anyone know when the cemetery was cleaned up and fenced? I love that that has been done.
I was there in 1988, and it was a mess. But living in Missouri made it hard to even think about doing anything. Although my sister and I really talked about it, but talk doesn't get it done. Many thanks to whoever worked and got it repaired.
My father in law is alive and well, his name and birth date have been included on a tombstone he will share with his deceased wife. This is at camp ground cemetery in tunnelton, Preston county. The name is Robert E Stewart. The information for Dorothy M Stewart is correct.
Thank you for updating the information.

My husband, Alex Plum, is a 3x great grandson of Eugenis Plumb (spelling according to tombstone). We are traveling to W.Va. to see his grave, among others, and would like to know the address/coordinates of the Pisgah Cemetery in which he is buried. It's been hard to find an address and it seems you may know. Any information is appreciated. Thank you for your contributions to this site!
Hi Nathan. Thank you for your hard work and due diligence. I have a question. The headstones for Aaron Newton Laughry (as it is spelled on the headstone) - and his wife, Nancy A Laughry use that spelling, however a lot of documents I find with their names and corresponding dates have the spelling as Loughry. I know that these kinds of spelling differences are common, especially given that everything was handwritten at the time, but Imdomt want to take that for granted. Do you know if there was indeed "vowel slippage" for this family? Again, thank you.
You uploaded a picture of Roseline C. Brand's headstone but I just want to point out that she is my great grandmother and is alive. That headstone was most likely put there to save the space by her husband, Harold Clyde Brand. Thank you.
Thank you, Nathan, for the transfer of Earl Berkshire's memorial, and thanks for creating it. Very appreciative! cfrank

Just to let you know that the two memorials, # 42334993 and #42335008 for Ellis Ray and Margaret Eileen Poling are for two individuals that are alive and living in Florida. They are lifetime friends of my family.
Thank you, Nathan, for transferring the Harry Berkshire memorial to me. I appreciate it very much, as well as your helping of other people by creating and photographing all of these.
