Bio

I have been a faithful, and respectful member for 13 years and 11 months and so today 15 March 2022 I have reached the 10,000 grave entry with 559 volunteer pictures, 15,769 Photos and currently managing 577 graves from members who have transferred and from Fallen Graver's, May They All Rest In Peace.

My name is Katina Peters, I am married to a wonderful man Command Sergeant Major Mark Peters who has completed 2 tours in Iraq and was recently (2014) promoted.
I have a wonderful family, 1 daughter, 1 step daughter,1 grandson, 2 great grandsons, 4 sisters, 3 brothers, several nieces, nephews.. great nephews and Great nieces.
We live in this beautiful area which contains alot of history, my goal is to try and visit every cemetery and church in this area and to help as many people as I can through their journey of genealogy. I first started doing genealogy research with my sister Marla , I came across this informational website and realized that recording grave yards could be very helpful and useful to all, most of these memorials are of no relation to my family, but I respect and bless them all.
If I have made any mistakes or you would like additional information added to your families burial use the Correction and Suggestion on that persons memorial.
This is the correct way of doing it because it will give me the person's name and the link to the grave that you are talking about, with this option the email rarely gets sent to the junk mail folder which means I can correct or add the information on your first attempt.
The first step is to click the edit button on the right hand corner of the memorial page, second click on the suggest a correction line and provide me with any additional information or corrections you would like done and I will do my best to update A.S.A.P.
Add any family photos you have, and remember if you have family photos there will be other family members who were not as fortunate as you to have ever seen a glimpse of their family from the past, they will always remember your unselfishness and hold onto those photos as if they have a pot of gold.
*Everyone, please be courteous to all who help and share with the genealogy of their family.
****Big Thank You To Lois Parry In Utah For All The Photos And Help On The Thorn And Pritchard Families In WV.

COINS ON A HEADSTONE
The deceased soldier's family knows that somebody stopped by, quite literally, to pay their respects. The tradition became popular in the USA during the Vietnam War.
- A penny means you visited.
- A nickel means that you and the soldier trained at boot camp together.
- A dime means you served with the soldier.
- A quarter means that you were there when the soldier was killed.
