Bio

"We actually don't fear death. We fear that no one will notice our absence, that we will disappear without a trace". (unknown)
People come to Find a Grave for many reasons; genealogy, curiosity, closure. People volunteer on Find a Grave for many reasons; genealogy, curiosity, closure. Sadly, some are in a contest to see how many memorial pages they can put in, mistakes and all, and they hold tight to those pages they've created even if they aren't related to them at all…for them it's all about the numbers.
My friend, Melinda Fowler, and I started doing this for our own families and then it quickly became something bigger…it was about other people's families. We have gotten such satisfaction out of fulfilling requests and everyone is so grateful. But it is "we" who are grateful for the opportunity to honor your relatives. We're not in this for the count, but for the gratification in connecting relatives and for recognizing the need to say "I WAS HERE".
p.s. I take a lot of random pictures in the Danbury, CT and Westchester County, New York area. If I should happen to run into your family and you would like to take ownership, by all means let me know and it's done. Families should stay together!
