All of my Grandparents were deceased before I was born and my Parents were both gone by the time I was seventeen. Mom never talked about family history (Daddy died when I was four). When I was about eight-years-old my Paternal Aunt, Edith, lived with us a while. She provided a hand-written genealogy of my Dad's family. That is where my love of 'family history' started. Later in life I would find out that my Mom's youngest sister, Mildred, was THEIR family genealogist! With their help over the years I have been able to find the graves of all of my Grandparents and close to HALF of my Great-Grandparents. This means that I have visited a number of cemeteries and one day I added to my 'retirement list' to go out and take pictures of graves at various cemeteries and somehow make them available to fellow 'searchers'! I found 'findagrave' because I recently found out that someone dear to me had passed about 1.5 years ago. Before he died he had said 'I love you' to me a FEW times but he never had time to spend with me. MAYBE being my guide to making one of my dreams a reality is HIS way of saying he's still with me and has time now? I live in Pittsburgh and can travel up to 50 miles one way to get information for you. If you are a family member and need information on how to get birth/death certificates, marriage licenses, etc. in Pennsylvania, please don't hesitate to ask! I MAY not have the answer but I'll be more than happy to help! Thanks to ALL who still care about Loved Ones who have passed!! (Apologies for any delays 2012-2017 I was distracted and just now trying to get back in to the swing!)
