My name is Amy Milburn, originally from Beaverton, Oregon, and now living in Yuba City, CA. I am on a quest to find my relatives starting from the Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington side of both my parent's families.
I was prompted by this when I learned that I had a family member buried in the Marysville Historic Cemetery where I am volunteering. It was an absolute shock that I had a relative there, and I wanted to learn more about the relatives I had that traveled to the gold country to find their fortunes!
Names I have connections with are Vilas, Brotherhood, Court, and Learned (there are more). I am particularity interested in the Courts, Vilas, and Brotherhood families that came to California. Most of the information is limited, but there are at least 4 family members I have found so far that are buried in Colusa, Yuba, and Sutter counties (where I live!).
