Document the passing of friends/neighbors and others, as no one needs to be forgotten. Most of the information I have here is of the bare-bones variety, and came from library books, newspapers, word of mouth, family Bibles, tombstones, and all manner of public records. I just put it online, whether here or on the other numerous sites to which I've contributed, and move on with my life. I don't keep records around. If I had more information, I'd certainly place it here for ancestors and historians.
You are free to use any photos I have taken and submitted of cemeteries or gravestones to use in your research, Ancestry trees, or any other genealogical endeavor; there is no need to ask my permission. That is why I submit them...so that they might help people document their family's history. I don't take many photos, but when I do, it is when I have visited cemeteries on my trips out of state, so my thought is that I should make this opportunity available to those unable to travel to see their family member's final resting place for themselves.
Good luck with your searches and thanks to all who document, photograph and keep our cemeteries clean. You are a blessing.
