I initially started my family tree to document as much as I could about my known family, in order to be able to have something tangible to pass on to my children. My hope was to go back 3-4 generations.

Since then, I have extended my family tree include almost three thousand relatives and have been able to trace my ancestors back to the Mayflower and beyond.

My favorite part of my research has been touring cemeteries. I have been able to find a wealth of information that may not have been readily available through other means. As a result, I have also come to realize how difficult it can be to make a trip to some locations. This is particularly true with areas in other states or those in particularly rural locations.

It is my hope to assist those in other areas to connect with their past. I live in upstate New York, just North of Albany, however I have done quite a bit of research in southern NY as well.
